Los Medanos College offers certificate and degree programs, and an academy program in Fire Technology. Applications for the 2008 Los Medanos College Firefighter I Academy are at the LMC Fire Technology web page.

Contra Costa College has partnered with Los Medanos College to offer three Fire Technology classes Spring 2008.

Women in the Fire Service, Inc. supports the worldwide community of fire service women.

The Boy Scouts have a Fire Service Exploring program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) or 15 through 20 years old.

Supports and promotes programs and training to assist businesses and individuals in creating a workplace culture of understanding, respect and inclusiveness for all men and women. Web site includes programs, articles and a newsletter.
