Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division
EMS Division Overall Responsibilities
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division is responsible for the initial training of all personnel that come into the District during their Fire Academy. The EMS Division develops, delivers and coordinates all medical response related training for all District employees. The exception to this is some paramedic continuing education that paramedics attend outside of the District.
The EMS Division also coordinates the purchasing of all equipment and supplies that are EMS related.
The District currently operates 30 full-time Advanced Life Support (ALS) engine companies. All companies are also staffed by certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).
EMS Division Office
The EMS Division Office is now located at 4005 Port Chicago Hwy, Suite 250, in Concord.
Training classrooms are located on the Training Campus in Concord, in Pittsburg and Pinole in the East and West ends of the district, and at AMR in Concord.
