EMS Continuous Quality Improvement RN Greg Kennedy started in EMS in 1984 when he enlisted in the United States Air Force. His eight-year military career was very successful and included many awards and commendations.
Greg completed his major in Human Resource Training and Development at the University of Southern Illinois. He became a licensed Medic and a licensed Vocational Nurse in 1985. He attended Sacramento State University on a nursing scholarship, graduated as a Registered Nurse at the top of his class and received Outstanding College Student of America Award in 1989 and 1990.
His career has included medical work in Oakland,
Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa; John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek;
Sutter Delta,
Brentwood; and
Benicia Fire, Benicia CA. He flew full-time and part-time with Cal Star and with REACH as a flight nurse for more than seven years.
Greg's credentials include: CEN, CCRN, TNCC, TNCC Instructor, PHTLS, PHTLS Instructor, BTLS, ATLS, FNATC, NALS, ACLS, ACLS Instructor, PALS, PALS Instructor, BLS, BLS Instructor, CISD, Leadership 2000 Certificate, EMTP Instructor, EMT Instructor, and Reserve Fire Fighter Instructor Moraga/Orinda.
He joined the Contra Costa Fire District in June 2006. |
