Fireworks Schedule & Safety Information

| No consumer fireworks of any kind are legal in Contra Costa County, including so-called “safe and sane” fireworks. Sale, possession or discharge of fireworks is illegal, constitutes a misdemeanor, and is a violation of Section 44-2.002, Contra Costa County Ordinance 72-19. |

If you or someone you know has fireworks for disposal, call your local police or
our main office at 925-941-3300 for instructions. Do not take the fireworks to a fire station.
Fireworks Schedule for 2008
The following professional fireworks shows are scheduled in Contra Costa County in 2008:
- On July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in Concord. The Singing Flag at Concord Neighborhood Park.
On Friday, July 4th, 2008
- In Martinez, at the Marina.
- In Pleasant Hill, at College Park High School.
- In Pittsburg, at the Marina.
- In Antioch, at the Waterfront Marina, at Fulton Shipyard.
- 4th of July, parades will be held in downtown Pleasant Hill, and in Todos Santos Plaza in Concord.
July 5th
- Fireworks display in Oakley at Civic Center Plaza Park.
July 11th
- Fireworks display at the Cornfest in Brentwood.
Fireworks shooting normally starts at 9:15pm - 9:30pm and lasts from 15 minutes to 30 minutes.
